The ambition to make a “cool trip” with several people is long. Not a road trip now, but building an organization and making an impact. In 2020 I founded OLIJO with a vision on recruitment with which we support organizations in their growth in a fun way.
I have been working as a recruiter for more than 15 years and I enjoy doing that. I just enjoy working in a result-oriented way, working together, making continuous agreements and adapting to change. The dynamics are different every day and with my drive and eye for quality I want to make a difference to the people I work with.
I am a proud father of 3 children, love sports, craziness, a good bbq and occasionally doing nothing (may be said :))

I have no experience with recruitment so maybe I am the odd one out. I did lead several teams at a large Dutch corporate. At the end of 2019 I changed course and started my own business. I know how to develop a vision and strategy, but also how to convert this into action. Taking on new adventures with the right dose of energy, humor and perseverance. OLIJO is an adventure, daring to think and be different. Get a little better every day and above all enjoy the journey. Of course we have to help customers, but we can also challenge them, be stubborn but above all; let’s have a good time.
OLIJO does things with a different energy, a positive energy you feel when you interact with us. We are serious but don’t take ourselves too seriously, we name what we feel and sometimes we have to laugh about it ourselves. Because a day without laughter….
Let me share a glimpse of my life and the path I’ve taken so far.
I’m a Portuguese girl living in The Netherlands. With a degree in HR Management, I’ve always considered myself a people person, which led me to choose a career in this field.
In 2020, I dive into the world of technology. Starting off in IT recruitment and selection, I transitioned into a Talent Manager, focusing on career development and client management. My goal was to match the best candidates with the most fitting projects, while ensuring their happiness, fulfilment, and personal growth. Most recently, I took on an exciting new challenge: guiding, training, and leading a new generation of IT Recruiters, hoping they would love their job as much as I do.
Driven by my explorer spirit, these experiences have brought me to my current situation: embarking on a new journey at OLIJO 🚀 and I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity!

This summer of 2022 I started working at OLIJO. I have never worked as a recruiter before, so it has all been new to me. I am from Mexico City and currently studying Engineering Physics. I feel amused by the Universe, therefore my passion is watching the night sky. I had previously worked teaching Physics and Math to children and have experience in sales.
The team at OLIJO has accepted me with great enthusiasm and I am eager to learn a lot from them. As a brand new recruiter, I hope to bring new opportunities to people and help our clients find the best match.
