We’re on the lookout for an experienced Data Engineer to join our knowledge-driven Business Intelligence & Data client.

Your primary task is to prepare data for analytical or operational use. You are responsible for building data pipelines to bring information together from various source systems. You integrate, consolidate, and cleanse data, adding structure to it before it can be used in analytical applications.

Your background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years (or more) of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, preferably working on medium to large-scale projects.
• Consultancy experience.
• Proficiency in cloud architectures (Azure is a big plus).
• Expertise in data modelling, including Kimball, ELT/ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in technologies such as Databricks, Spark Structured Streaming, and PySpark.

Your skill set beyond Data

• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for data precision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both within a team and across diverse business units.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with an innovation-driven mindset, and a commitment to keeping up with the latest data engineering trends and technologies.
