Add Element [E] to your daily formula
At IMCD the Element E is yours to explore and enjoy. It is the missing element in the Periodic table of Elements, it is our own X-factor. It allows you to bind your ambitions and skills with emerging markets, innovative solutions, and bold future visions.
As our new Master Data Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring product data integrity and driving global data governance. This is a hands-on, early-career opportunity where your chemistry or data science background meets a growing international business. You’ll support the HSEQR (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Regulatory) team in shaping reliable, scalable product data processes that directly impact compliance, supply chain, and sustainability.
What you’ll do as Master Data Analyst
Working at the intersection of product data and regulatory systems, you will:
- Cleanse and standardize product master data
- Identify data gaps, enrich attributes, and maintain consistency across systems
- Support item creation and mass updates in collaboration with our team in India
- Manage tickets and requests via Topdesk
- Help define data governance workflows and update documentation (SOPs, manuals)
- Collaborate across functions – including IT, regulatory, and commercial teams
- Use tools like SQL, Python, or R to analyze data and solve issues
- Contribute to the continuous development of our PIM (Product Information Management) ecosystem
- Sit at the table when data decisions are made – not just execute, but help shape
What you bring
We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, curious, and excited to grow – not someone who waits for instructions. You don’t need 10 years of experience, but you do need the right mindset.
- Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, LinkedIn/Google Ads; Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Pardot) is a plus.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Chemistry, Data Science, IT, or Life Sciences preferred)
- 0–5 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with tools like Excel, SQL, Python, or R
- A pragmatic, hands-on attitude – willing to dive into both routine and complex tasks
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Fluency in Englis
- EU work permit and availability to work from our Rotterdam HQ 4–5 days/week.
- It’s a bonus if you have experience with PIM, ERP, or CRM systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Salesforce, Syndigo) and you have experience in data governance, process design, or system sustainability.
What we offer
- A stable and informal work culture – entrepreneurial, respectful, no micromanagement
- The opportunity to learn from experts in regulatory data, analytics, and digital systems
- A meaningful role where your work has real impact on business and compliance
- Flexible hybrid working (no evening/weekend calls)
- Modern office at Kop van Zuid in Rotterdam
- Commuting allowance & excellent pension scheme
- A team that believes in your potential – and lets you prove it
