Role overview
We are looking for a Security Specialist to improve the security framework of the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing security policies in line with NIS2 standards, while proactively managing vulnerabilities to safeguard sensitive data, systems and networks.
Key responsibilities:
– Develop, implement, and uphold security policies, procedures, and guidelines to align with industry standards and best practices.
– Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify risks and develop strategies to address them.
– Perform comprehensive risk assessments, evaluating the potential impact of threats and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.
– Lead security awareness training to educate employees on best practices, fostering a security-first culture within the organization.
– Design and execute incident response plans to handle security breaches effectively, minimizing impact and ensuring quick recovery.
– Ensure compliance with key regulations and standards, including NIS2, GDPR and ISO 27001.
– Create detailed reports to provide insights into the company’s security posture and ongoing improvements.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into every aspect of the company’s operations.
Profile:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
– Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) are highly preferred.
– Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in implementing and managing security policies and procedures.
– Expertise in vulnerability management tools and methodologies.
– Fluency in Dutch (mandatory) and English.
– Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
– Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards, especially in complex, global organizations.
– Proven ability to lead security projects within a multi-company environment.
