At IMCD we’re hiring a strategic operator,  someone who sees the opportunity behind sustainability to create new value streams, reposition portfolios, and shape decisions that matter.

This position is ideal for a top-tier strategy consultant (4–7 years) ready to move from advising to doing, with autonomy, impact, and visibility inside a €4.7B global company.

From structuring product portfolios and managing data insights to engaging with business leaders and driving adoption. You will be the engine that turns sustainability ambitions into real business value. The opportunity
At IMCD, promoting innovative and sustainable solutions is embedded in our day-to-day operations. Through our business-driven Sustainable Solutions programme we invest in product and formulation know-how, as a driver for organic growth.
Our Business Group (BG) teams systematically identify sustainable trends, assess our portfolio for materials with fitting sustainability characteristics, and optimise formulations in our laboratories and technical centres, with the ambition to bring expert guidance and collaboration to our customers, helping them to answer sustainability challenges and create future-fit, and commercially successful, products.

What you’ll do

• Design and deliver value creation programs that connect sustainability to business growth.
• Analyze quickly and act decisively, turning insight into commercial relevance.
• Engage with senior stakeholders across Business Groups, Sustainability, Strategy, and the Executive Committee.
• Build alignment and clarity in a decentralized international environment.
• Own the process: from strategy to dashboards, from ideas to real-world results.

Who you are:

• 4–7 years in top-tier strategy consulting or equivalent strategic/BD role.
• Proven experience in building and delivering programs, not just advising.
• Strong commercial mindset: you understand value drivers, not just ESG metrics.
• A “doer” with influence – you lead through clarity, speed, and ownership
• You’re done with PowerPoint – and ready to make things happen.
• Experience in chemicals or industrial B2B is a bonus, not a must.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Valid EU work permit.
